In Madagascar, Tojo, a bat catcher who works for scientists, searches for a lost journal his ancestors wrote during the French colonial repression. As the nation rises up against their corrupt government, Tojo must descend into sacred caves to find answers to his past and hope for the future. Only through ritual will he return.
